Rueé gives you access to luxury handbags without the long-term commitment. Choose from our curated collection and rent timeless designer pieces on a every two weeks basis—delivered to your door, ready to elevate your everyday.

What are some advantages to renting bags instead of buying?

What is the difference among the three tiers?

Rueé offers three flexible plans:

  1. Signature ($88/bi-weekly) — Choose from bags  up to $2,500 retail value
  2. Classic ($168/bi-weekly) — Choose from bags  up to $7,000 retail value
  3. Exclusive ($368/bi-weekly) —Ultra-premium styles for members with 10+ rental history, featuring our most exceptional pieces

When does my rental period start and end?

Your rental period begins on the day your bag is delivered and ends when the return package is scanned by the designated shipping carrier.

If the bag hasn’t been returned by the end of your rental period, we’ll assume you’re loving it—a new cycle will automatically begin, and your payment method will be charged for the next biweekly rental.

How long can I keep a bag?  

You can keep upto 6 months as you wish and payment cycle is every two weeks. As long as your account is in good standing and your payments are up to date, you can keep the piece upto 6 months.

Can I rent more than one handbag at a time? 

At this time, we offer one bag per rental cycle.

If you enjoy variety, you’re welcome to swap your bag for a new one at the end of each cycle. We’re here to keep your look fresh—one beautiful piece at a time.

How do I unlock exclusive pieces?

Can I pause my subscription?

Rueé isn’t a traditional subscription—we don’t lock you into long-term plans.

Each rental cycle is bi-weekly and automatically renews only if the bag isn’t returned.

Simply return your item before your cycle ends, and you won’t be charged for the next period.

Want to take a break? Just return your bag—we’ll be here when you’re ready for your next piece.

Can I extend my rental?

Yes! Just keep the bag past your return date, and your bi-weekly rental will auto-renew until you’re ready to return.

Is it possible to change or get a refund for an item I rented?

We generally don’t offer exchanges or refunds during an active rental cycle. However, if you change your mind, you may return the bag within 24 hours of delivery for a refund (excluding shipping fees). Just contact us, and we’ll help you get started.

What should I do with the security tag that is attached to my rental item?

The security tag ensures the authenticity of your item and confirms it's from Rueé. Remove it when you're ready to enjoy your bag. When returning, please reattach the new tag provided in your package.

Why is there a authorization hold/security deposit on my account when I sign up and when is it released?

When you sign up or begin a new rental, we may place a pre-authorization hold or security deposit on your payment method.This is a standard security step to confirm your card is valid and to protect against potential loss or damage during the rental period. It will be automatically released or refunded back to you when the rental is returned in good condition; if the item is not returned, returned late, or is damaged beyond normal wear and tear, we reserve the right to convert the hold into a charge up to the full retail or repair value of the Product.

Why do you need identification verification

To protect our community and prevent fraud. Because our handbags are high-value designer pieces, we require first-time renters to verify their identity with a government-issued photo ID. This simple step helps ensure that every rental is secure—for you, for us, and for the next person who enjoys the bag.

What do you do with my ID data

We don’t store or directly access your ID data. Identity verification is handled securely through Stripe, our trusted payment and verification partner. Stripe encrypts and processes your information solely to confirm your identity—helping us prevent fraud and protect our luxury pieces. Your data is never used for marketing, and we never sell or share it.

Do you require a security deposit?

Yes. Depending on your rental plan or the value of the handbag, a refundable deposit may be required. It will be returned once the item is returned in good condition and on time.

What if the piece I like to rent is not available

You can add the bag to waitlist. If you are subscribed to Rueé mail list, you will receive a notification once the bag is available.

Can I reserve a piece in advance?

It's first-come, first-served.but you can subscribe to our mail list to get notification once the items become available.

Shipping & Returns

How much does shipping cost?

Standard shipping is always free! If you'd like to get your item faster, you can contact us at contact@Rueé.com. We can work with you on a faster delivery.

How long does it take to receive an item?

All deliveries are sent via secured shipping. We expect 2-3 days for domestic shipping.

Do you offer insurance? 

We offer coverage for normal wear and tear. Customers are responsible for loss, theft, or damage beyond normal wear and tear.

How do I track an item I've rented?

Your tracking number can be found on your My Account page.

How do I return the items I'm renting?

When you're ready to return, simply click “Return” in your account, pack the handbag in its original box, attach the return label stored in the original box, and drop it off. If you need a new return label, you can contact us at contact@Rueé.com.We can send you a new label.

What happens if I lose or damage an item?

Normal wear and tear is covered by us.

 

You will not be held responsible for any loss or damage that occurs while the item is in the carrier’s custody, as long as our return instructions are followed.

  • For delivery, you become responsible for the handbag once it has been successfully delivered.
  • For returns, the item is considered in the carrier’s custody only after it has been scanned by the carrier. If you do not follow our return instructions—including using the provided prepaid label and original packaging—you may be held fully responsible for any loss or damage during transit.

 

We strongly encourage you to follow all shipping and return instructions to ensure full coverage and a smooth experience.


If a rented item is lost, stolen, or damaged beyond normal wear and tear, you are responsible for the full replacement value. If damage is minor or repairable, a repair fee may apply instead. In such cases, Rueé may charge your saved payment method for the applicable amount without needing further approval.

How do I return my piece?

As soon as you’re ready for something new, package the items in the Everluxe box they arrived in and place the box in the provided unused compostable mailer, Make sure the packaging is securely taped shut and affix the provided prepaid shipping label (unless the label is already affixed).

We suggest you drop off the shipment with a representative at a ‘FedEx Office Print and Ship’ and get a confirmation receipt. Please note that if you don’t get a receipt and FedEx doesn’t scan the shipment, you assume liability for the shipment.

Soon after it’s scanned, you’ll receive an email informing you that your Cart is unlocked so you can select your next pieces.

How do you insure items arrive clean and ready to wear?

Every time an item is returned, it goes through a careful inspection and thorough cleaning process before being sent out to the next user.

Do you clean the bags before each rental?

Absolutely. Every bag is carefully inspected, cleaned, and sanitized before it’s sent to the next renter.

I want to rent an item that I don't see on Rueé. Can I request it?

Absolutely! If there is an item your are interested in adding to Rueé, feel free to email us at contact@Rueé.com so we can add it to our shopping list and we can send you a notification once it is online.

I have something borrowed and I love it! Can I buy it?

Currently, we don’t offer items for sale—so more people can enjoy these special pieces. But we’re exploring resale in the future!

How do you get your products?

We carefully curate all items from reliable sellers all over the world.

Do you guarantee authenticity?

We source from trusted sellers and conduct a rigorous in-house verification process. Rueé guarantees authenticity—always. If you have any concerns, please contact us.

What condition are the items in?

The condition of each item will vary. Sometimes you will be the first to experience an item and other cases the pieces will be vintage and you may notice signs of wear. If you wish to discuss condition of a certain item further, please contact us at contact@Rueé.com

 

We take great care to accurately represent the condition of our items through the images we provide. While these images generally serve as a reliable indicator and we periodically update them to reflect their current condition, there might be slight variations between the images and the actual item received.


Rest assured, we maintain rigorous standards for item condition and continuously re-evaluate pieces to ensure they meet our high standards. Keep in mind that vintage pieces may look more aged and worn (which, in our opinion, adds to their appeal). Other pieces are in new or like-new condition. In some cases, you might be the first to ever wear a piece. Even if you’re not, it might feel like you are–few things endure like luxury accessories
